Dear Jamband- and Deadheads from all over the world,
especially you lovely American people, we have a really nice surprise for all you festivalgoers:
To open up this Festival with a nice and very special event, we organised the following for you:
On Saturday, March 20th, 2010, there will be a special 3-Sets concert of Germanys hottest Grateful Dead Tribute band, COSMIC FINGER from Hamburg.
They love and live the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead and since this time in the official Festivallineup there is no Dead-Band, we decided to still please all of you heads with some really nice, improvised and emotinal tunes of the Dead.
So on March 20th, 2010, you have to come to the venue
MALOE MELO, which is a Bluesclub in downtown Amsterdam, not to far away from the Melkweg Venue.
Doors open at 9:00 pm, show starts at 11:30 pm and lasts the whole night. Admission fee is only 5,00 €.

We really appreciate to hear that, since we love what you're doing and think that the Jam in the Dam Festival is a really unique event and we Europeans love to get the possibility to hear such fantastic bands in Europe - as you don't get often the chance and if we wanna hear cool Jambands we have to fly to the states (I have been there last October for Phish's Festival 8 and to see 3 Widespread Panic shows)... But this year there are The New Mastersounds, too, I saw those guys some months ago in Hamburg and was literally blown away.. they are sooo groovy, you can't stand still and even go away to the bar to get yourself a drink...
