I have been lurking on this board for a while, and have had a million questions... now that I registered, most have slipped my mind!

A few I can recall:
1) are set times for certain? Umphrey's website has them on at 11 pm the first night. Not a huge issue, just curious.
2) Beer bike... anyone ever do it? How is it?
3) When do we find out about the movies? Claypool's page says Electric Apricot will be one of them, wondered if that is confirmed.
4) Canal cruise tix go on sale when?

I realize most of these could be answered simply by being patient, but I am a little too excited for this trip. First time in Amsterdam, and will also be celebrating my 30th birthday, so forgive my over zealousness.

Aj would be better to answer but I will give it a stab based on my info!

1. Most sets as I recall started on time or very close! (07, 08)
2. Never heard of it, but I will check it out!
3 and 4. keep checking the website and the message board, but I am pretty sure the Electric Apricot is a safe bet and the Canal Cruises should be up like around the time laminates ship or a little before! Hope some of that was helpful. I have better coffee shop info! :D

My list this year is Barney's (Vanilla Kush) - Greenhouse(Super Lemon Haze, Chemdog) - Grey Area (Recon and Sleestack) - De Kuil 420 Cafe (Blueberry) - Dampkring (haven't been) - Rokerij (haven't been)!

Stay away from Grasshopper and Bulldog. Greenhouse has a fairly new shop on Harlemmerstraat with fish in the floor and great budtender! Stix has some good kif and Moroccan.
Narrow it down and don't buy everything that looks good. Ask opinions and if you are going to pull a whitey, sit down. If you are a fairly seasoned hanger-outer, you shouldn't have a problem. Stay away from bongs unless you have wipes or you watch them clean it! And no tobacco in the coffee shops! Hope to see you there man, let me know if you need any other info! www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/ is the best website to check out for info!

I highly recommend Barney's, but when i was there you could get breakfast. I have heard they are just a coffee shop now. But I am with mantisman and his rec's. Also the Dampkring is sweet, but I cannot remember which one I hit. The rokerij is a great place too for a good menu. I hit the rokerij III and it is small, but you wont be disappointed. Good travels. I am excited. This will be my first JID and we are hitting the Avett Brothers in Brussels the night before. Good Times!!!!

Barney's breakfast is yummy, And I noticed there is free brekkies at Picasso and Greenhouse also serves full breakfasts. Gotta love the Dam!

To be dead honest if you have good friends in the states you won't be to suprised by the quality of coffeeshop substance.

However if it is hashish you desire, I would recommend checking out Tweede Kamur for many many options from Afganastan > Nepal > Morrocco.

I agree and disagree, if you know good people yes. But the strains from DNA that are found at the Grey Area and the Greenhouse flavors are top notch! Look for the dutch isolater hash and bubble hash! Dampkring's Rifman is also yumdiddlyumptious!

For as many things that make the Grey Area fabulous, my absolute favorite is exiting and hitting up the chocolate shop across the street.
