Hey there - Due to the fact that my friends can't committ to JITD for various BS reasons, I'm looking at rolling solo cause the lineup looks so damn sick (in my opinion). While I'm not thrilled at the idea of rolling solo, I don't want to miss the opportunity.

More importantly, if I'm gonna make the trip, I might as well do some additional brief travelling to say italy, france, maybe a little of belgium. I'm 25, male, similar interests to you, easy to get along with. I'm thinking a two week trip (total) - and I'm flexible on the budget/accomodations.

If anyone is in the same mindset - please hit me up.

I recommend getting on one of the Canal Cruises, you will meet some great people and won't be solo for the rest of your time in Amsterdam.

Hey squeaks,

I have been browsing the JITD forums for a few days now. Starting to prepare for this years festival. I was in Amsterdam for the Cannabis Cup 2009 spending 7 days getting a feel for the city. To be honest Amsterdam is great. Now that I have become a bit oriented with the area, I am excited to get to know the local scenes. Anyways I have been living and working in Southern Germany for 3 months now. I will be here until the end of March, then the family I stay with won't be needing my assistance. Before I head back to Alaska for the summer season I would like to train around Europe for a month. Maybe we could organize a few destinations after JITD?

Safe Travels,
Matt

Hey. I'd for sure be willing to go travel around with ya. I'm flying in the 13th and just gonna train around, see friends in various cities and just enjoy my time traveling before the festival. My gf and other buddy are showing up at somepoint, but if you really wanna go on some trips, I say fuck yeah. I'm 25, from Maine, friends/music/travel. Lets go!

Hey Sqeeks, I'm gonna be going to ADam on the 18th of March w a buddy of mine. It will be both of our 1st times to ADam for JITD. We will be out there till Apr. 2nd. We reallt don't know our way around and for sure wanna travel around a little. I'd love if we could hook up and maybe you could show us the ropes. Both of us are 25-26yrs. Likeminded and more than likely have same interests as you. We hope to get a round or 2 of disc golf in. We still don't have a place to stay so if you have any good suggestions, that would be rad! Hit me up and hopefully there will be some very good times and very good vibes in our near future! By the way, name is Adam or Gonzo. Answer to both.

Hell yeah bgiggy!!!! Stoked for this trip! And stoke to find some fellow disc golfer to play a round with!!! We will have to figure a place andc time to meet, so we can plan out times we can all toss. My friend and I fly in the 19th and will not be leaving ADam till April 4th. Not sure how long you will be there, but I hear that there are 3 courses there. I'm going to be looking soon to figure out were the courses are. My e-mail address is
coffeebean420@hotmail.com... I've never been to ADam, and if you have, any pointer to quality coffeeshops and smartshops, I'd love to pick your brain! We are only 53 days from the music!!!!! I can almost hear it now!!!!!

Hey guys: If rolling solo this is the place for you to be on March 20th, 2010: We organised a special pre-concert in downtown Amsterdam with 3 sets of the fantastic german Dead-Tribute Band "COSMIC FINGER" from Hamburg! Make sure to stop by and you'll meet some really nice people and a part from the germandeadhead scene that is coming out and we usually spend really unforgettable, amazing and magical evenings... So we're really looking foreward to meet all our american friends there and to have a really good time together! Just come all out there and let there be songs, to fill the air...

See ya, Florence!

Yo bigiggy, been doing a little research and it seems that the closest discgolf course to ADam is in Rotterdam. Rotterdam is about a 45-50 min train ride from the dam. Full 18 hole course. Tee boxes are marked with distances(in meters, not feet). 350 ft. is the longest it's got. Check out dgcoursereview.com . Check out the pics of the course. Looks pretty fucking cool!!!! My buddy and I are hoping a train on Mar.20th to go check our the avvett bros in Brussels. Seems there is also a course right outsde Brussels. Might hit that one up too. Hit me up and we can figure out a good time to meet up for a round!!! Stoked!!!

Hey Everyone!

I just bought my ticket/hostel reservations yesterday and am psyched for this!

I too am going alone, I know in the past for other festivals we've organized meetups for us solo travelers, so if anyones interested I'm definitely down. I'm 25, coming from Chicago and I'm currently trying to figure out my schedule. I was thinking about flying in the 20th, and after JITD maybe hitting up Prague, Berlin and flying out of Madrid on the way home. This is going to be my first European trip so I'm open to all sorts of suggestions and might try and do some couch surfing after I leave Amsterdam.

What I'd really like to do is find some other bands to go to see while I'm out there, theres a good chance I'll check out the Dead Cover Band and prob hit up one of these cruises but if anyone knows any other bands that are playing outside of Amsterdam after the Fest I would love to hear about it.

I'd love to hear what any of you have to say.

Looking Forward to This,
Domenic

Dear Domenic, nice to hear from you and cool that you're doing the trip on your own! Flying in on the 20th is a very good idea! We - Cosmic Finger - and a Bus of Friends and Fans from Germany are getting to Amsterdam on Friday 19th already, and on the 20th during the day they'll play different unplugged sessions in downtown Amsterdam and make a little promo tour through the coffeshops to inform people about the concert on the 20th at Maloe Melo... if you wanna join us, you're welcome, otherwise you definitely have to come to Maloe Melo in the evening, it opens 9 pm... You surley will meet some really nice people and musiclovers and partyfolks... Would be great to meet a Chicago guy!!! All the best from Hamburg, Florence! :D

please check www.myspace.com/cosmicfinger for pics and details....

Actually, that sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure what time I'm coming in on Saturday (I'm buying my plane ticket this week) but I'll prob end up landing early in the morning. So that gives me all day to roam downtown so I'll definitely come check out the unplugged sessions and your night show. My goal is check out as much music as I can on this trip so that sounds like a perfect start, and hopefully I can meet some people that might know of some music going on post JITD. See you in the dam.

Domenic

Hello Cosmic Finger,

Thanks for sharing the Pre Jam In The Dam special. Perfect way to spend my first day in Amsterdam "unplugged", looking forward to jamming with you all. I have been living in Southern Germany since September, this being my second time through Amsterdam. I will also be driving the van Friday morning to Amsterdam, so if anyone is in need of a ride there there is enough space for some energy.

Stay Conscious,
Matt (Anchorage, Alaska)

Hello Domenic,

Good to hear some Midwest people are planning to make it to Europe for this wonderful festival. I was raised in Minnesota, but have been living in Anchorage, Alaska for four years now. I plan on driving to Frankfurt the 19th (Friday morning) to pick up my brother, flying in from Minneapolis. So if you are in need of a ride back through Germany, we have space. We will be in the Dam' for seven days, working our way back through Germany though April 2nd.

Matt
