Hey all, Im an American living in A'dam for the past 5 years and have been waiting for two years for JITD to return...and here it comes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a huge apartment and have already scheduled my vacation around JITD. Last time the group I was suppose to party with cancelled at the last minute so this time Im offering a place to stay...just 10 min from the venue...to a few people who want to hang out around the dam, listen to some old shows and enjoy the local 'culture'! Free rent, free guide, good music, good times! reply to dcat420@hotmail.comDr Dave

I have to say that's very generous of Dr. Dave to come on here and offer his place to stay. It's especially important for anyone who is really strapped for cash due to current economic situation. Who knows, by the time March rolls around I may have to take you up on the offer if something happens if you don't already have people lined up LOL.
Girlfriend and I may have to at least hook up with Dr. Dave either out and about or at Melkweg. Maybe even meet with you at Thanksgiving if your in town.
See everyone in Amsterdam in March 2010 - oh actually I'll be there this Thanksgiving.

JITD 2010! Only months away. After my first tour to Amsterdam in November 2009 for the Cannabis Cup, I fell in love with this city. Now to return for one of the best festivals of our time. I enjoyed the hostel scene, but I think for JITD a good group of people will be needed to share this experience. If there are still some spots available to set a sleeping for late night meditation, this would be greatly appreciated.
Much Love, Matt

Does anyone know of any hotels that near the venue, yet moderately priced? This is going to be my 1st year at JiTD. I'm rollin' with a good buddy of mine. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait to see all ya'll there.

Melkweg locationLook at this map to get oriented with where the venue is. Then, Booking.nl has the best website with maps to where the hotels are. And pretty good discounts, too.

Looking forward to my 1st JITD and 2nd trip to the Dam. My friends and I got a room at what seems to be a very cool hotel right next door to the venue. Some friends emailed us from the hotel a few weeks back whilst staying and said it was a must that we make reservations. It is rock and roll themed and has a 24 hr bar in the lobby for guests. http://www.backstagehotel.com/

Ended up with reservations at the Hotel Alexander, which doesn't seem too far away.

Hello all, I plan on staying at the Flying Pig uptown ( http://www.flyingpig.nl/locations/palac ... nMap.shtml). This will be my second time through Amsterdam, first being the 22nd Cannabis Cup. The location is perfect, walking distance to the Melkweg, coffee shops, and other sites. The stay is cheap and the breakfast in the mornings is a great start to the day. Plus they have a kitchen and a great bar scene. Staff is open minded. Highly recommended! Stay Conscious, Matt

Kobebeef, thanks for the heads up on the Backstage Hotel!! My husband and I will be staying there too now.
Anyone still looking for rooms they got some: Single / Shared bathroom is 315 euros for March 20-25th Double / Shared bathroom is 397.50 euros for March 20-25th Triple / Shared bathroom is 525.00 euros for March 20-25th
The 5 person room with private bath isn't available on the 20th, but is open from the 21-25 for 157.50 euros a night. The Triple room with private bath, also isn't available on the 20th, but is open from the 21-25 for 107.50 euros a night.
Looks like a cute hotel...like the idea of the 'rock n roll' theme. Can't wait!
